When Life Seems Gloomy, Gratitude Can Do Wonders

Gratitude – This word might sound really simple to you but the magic it carries is extraordinary (believe us it is!). When things feel on the wrong track or the path you are on seems to have too many obstacles, you start to breathe a negative air and this is unhealthy at many levels! The precaution and the cure for this are taking a dose of gratitude daily. Don’t let it come to cure which is possible by being thankful at every step of the way.

Your work life, your personal life, your social life can be just too exhausting at times but imagine the absence of these three things and how dull it can get then! So, apart from a balance, one other practice that can relieve you and help you regain productivity is being grateful for all the things that are right. We are sure there are many!

Take a moment to reflect and for just once, shift your focus from yourself and your problems to the people who have stood beside you since the beginning and continue to support you till date! As soon as you get hold of this, you will see a drastic change in the way you feel about all that goes around, whether right or wrong!

Now, if you ask the ways in which you can make gratitude a part of your life, then we have the best possible ways which are not only effective but interesting to be a part of.

1. Express your appreciation in a task

When you are in the middle of completion of a task which is important to you (personal or professional), frustrations are meant to happen at some point but how you divert your mind and keep your calm will decide the future of that task.

Take a little break from that project and start building a list of people and circumstances that led you here on this project. You will realize that you have a lot to thank for and the sparks at the beginning of this task were contributed by the people around you or the conversations that might have happened in your surroundings.

Make an acknowledgment and you will visualize things change!

2. Say “Thank you” more often

This might sound really simple but here’s a question – How many times do you tell someone that you are grateful for them or more practically, just say “thank you” when someone holds the door for you?

We know what your “honest” answers would be! Don’t look for excuses for not expressing gratitude as often as you should be. Even the most regular situation that expects a “thank you” should have one in it as it will slowly become a habit and in this way, you would change your life and also the life of the people to whom you conveyed your gratitude.

Just an addition of gratitude in the recipe of your life will fill the surroundings with an aroma which has only positivity and it diffuses in the air and freshens it!
