This Quarantine, Disney Rides Gets A Homespun Form

Lifestyle May, 11, 2024

So this means that one wouldn’t have to sit in front of their screens watching and praying to visit the wonder world, they could, in fact, now construct their very own rides from scratch. Many families have turned each of their rooms into different themes of Disney based on the rides they are accommodating in their homes, many are also adding unique twists to these regular rides. Many of these creators are sharing their creativity on different social media platforms to encourage people to make the best use of the time they have at home.

One of them is Andy Guinigundo whose family spent several hours constructing a folksy version of ‘It is a Small World’, which happens to be one of the most loved Disney Park rides. The ride also consists of a cast member from ‘Disney’ welcoming the riders prior to them getting onto the boat. There is also a statue of a couple eating that is placed right from where the boat sails, from this point forward the ride is full of music and toys. The video that was shared online also shows the family members acting out different scenes from various Disney movies.

The next ride that this family created was the Pirates. And as seen in their next Facebook video which was posted by Julie Foster Thornock, the family has obviously gone the extra mile to recreate the authentic Disney feels, and this time it garnered even more views because the family dog was in action as well. However, one point in the video where the riders go down the sled from a flight of stairs does not seem to be very safe and since no one wants to end up in a medical center during this phase, it is advisable to not try such stunts at home.

Henceforth if you are planning on building a similar ride, we advise you to skip the dangerous parts as the hospitals are already busy focusing on the COVID-19 cases. In a similar case, yet another Disney fan posted his video of a homespun Disney attraction. Her version of the famous Disney’s Soaring Over Carolina ride has been named Jess Siswick and is one the perfect ‘staycation’ ideas we have seen so far. If you wish to stay tuned with more such updates and videos you might want to go ahead and visit their social media handles.

And we are pretty steadfast that you shall stumble upon a goldmine of homemade attractions themed on Winnie the Pooh, Fantasyland and The Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Additionally, one Twitter user based in Japan is recreating the Haunted Mansion in as authentic form as possible, and his creativity for sure deserves a 12/10.

So worry no more, grab your scrap and some basic stuff and get swinging!
