The Incredible Journey Of Man Who Became Nike’s First Professional Athlete With Cerebral Palsy
A student of the University of Oregon, Justin Gallegos has his name written in history by becoming the first ever professional runner with none other than everyone’s favorite Nike Brand in spite of having cerebral palsy. His incredible achievement shows that one must not doubt the process and most importantly trust God the most, for he has got us all. Yes, each one of us!
Cerebral Palsy can be termed as a group of disorders in which the moving ability, the maintenance of the balance as well as the posture is affected. This is the result of abnormal development of the brain or when any damage occurs. This is one common disability which occurs mostly during childhood.
Anyone suffering from this could easily give up and take this as an excuse but Justin Gallegos chose to do something different which also might turn out to be a calling for many people like him.
Joining his high school cross country running team, Justin Gallegos took up to his Instagram and let everyone know that he made it to signing a contract with Nike Brand and also motivated the people through his words.
He was only 14 when he began to run but never gave up or lost his interest in the field of running which shows what a strong and determined heart he has. The Nike contract was presented to him by the marketing team of the footwear company which came after the running club practice.
This was indeed a very big and an emotional surprise for Justin Gallegos who broke into tears after receiving the news on October 6, which turns out to be the World Cerebral Palsy Day.
We definitely need more people like him who never give up even when life puts them through hardships. Keep living and keep inspiring!
