The Rock Gifts a Navy Veteran Fan His Personal Truck

Nobody can be as good as Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock in surprising his fans. Once he had surprised a tour bus full of his fans. And now, he decided to gift his vehicle and proved that he’s called “The People’s Champion” for a reason. Moreover, this vehicle was also one of the specials for Dwayne. 

He heard the story of Oscar Rodriguez who’s a Navy veteran and has been helpful to the people around him ever since. So, when it was time for the Thanksgiving holiday screening of the “Red Notice,” he decided to surprise him with something special. Firstly, Oscar was invited to the private screening of the movie in Los Angeles. Dwayne had posted on his Instagram saying that he wanted to do something special for his fans who had been invited to the screening of his new film. 

Oscar has been taking care of his 75-year-old mom. He is also a personal trainer and a leader in his church who provides meals and the necessary support to the women who are domestic violence victims. After walking into the theatre, he had invited Oscar on the stage and praised him for his good work. The Rock had also mentioned that he wished to do something “massive… something unforgettable for one fan.”

Initially, Johnson had thought of gifting Rodriguez Porsche Taycan, the one that he drove in his movie Red Notice. He approached the company for the same, but Porsche didn’t agree with it. Still, if he had made up his mind to gift something extraordinary. “But I still said, yes… I’ll do one better. I’ll give away my personal custom truck as a gift. My baby,” he added. The reason he chose Oscar for this gift was that he “exemplifies being nice and kind to his core.”

Dwayne took Oscar to the parking lot after the screening of the film and had put a note on his huge black truck which he asked Oscar to read. The note read, “Thank you for your service brother, enjoy your new truck.” It was his favorite truck that he gifted to his beloved fan. This precious moment was also posted on Twitter and watching Oscar’s reaction upon getting a new truck is worthwhile. 

Oscar being emotional, hugged The Rock and wrote in one of his posts that hugging this Hollywood star only was a source of contentment and satisfaction for him. Dwayne also told that he tried to get all the information of the people in the audience and out of all, he was moved the most by Oscar’s story. 

The five-minute video had been viewed more than half a million times in just 12 hours. On the other hand, it was unbelievable for Oscar to get The Rock’s own favorite truck. He shared a picture of him with his new vehicle and wrote: “I have no words to express how blessed and grateful I am!! Again, no words only scripture.”
