The Pro Baseball Player Celebrated His World Series Win By Doing Something Amazing For The Homeless
Your happiness increases when you share, they say and this somewhat stands true when this gesture of Mookie Betts caught the limelight. With their hoodies on, Mookie Betts along with one of his cousins decided to serve food to the homeless people at the Boston Public Library which was later on witnessed by one of the VIP hosts for the area clubs. Mookie Betts was seen with trays of food in his hand and was distributing it to the homeless people during the wee hours.
After hitting it high and thus grabbing a win of the Game 2 of the World Series where they competed with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Mookie Betts chose to do something special to celebrate the win instead of going out to party. Walking around the Boston Public Library, Mookie Betts was telling the people that they had free food around the corner and even distributed it to them.
Now, one thing which might strike you is that people tend to indulge in all these kind acts for fame or publicity. But, this does not stand true here! With no pictures being taken or media people doing around, Mookie Betts has definitely set an exceptional example by carrying out a selfless act for the homeless.
Turns out, the homeless people around were not even aware of who he was, but this act of kindness definitely restored their faith in humanity.
This act of humility was not done for the very first time by Mookie Betts. To raise the bar of selflessness, Betts along with Blake Swihart treated the homeless people by giving them pizza in NYC. The world for sure needs more people like Betts for whom humanity and humility are much important than appreciation and recognition. You never know how big an impact a small act of kindness can have on the lives of the homeless.
