Burn Victim Dresses Up As Deadpool And Ryan Reynolds Leaves A Perfect Reply For Him

Inspiring April, 25, 2024

John Quinn aka Jadiant has always been a huge fan of Deadpool as this character portrayed by the super talented, Ryan Reynolds gave Jadiant the confidence he needed to step out in the world without fearing the judgments he might receive.

This young man from Millington, Tennessee, wore the Deadpool outfit and did a split. He tagged Ryan Reynolds in the post and wrote a heartfelt caption with the picture. “Deadpool has honestly made me more confident. Anyone who has read or watched anything about Deadpool, knows his face and body are pretty messed up. So it’s only natural that I cosplay him,” he wrote.

This brave burn victim shared his story about getting burned when he was only 4. He had over 100 surgeries since that horrible incident in 2003. It happened in a split of a second when his dog toppled a candle as Jadiant played in the barn at the back of his family house.

When this valiant young man posted the picture doing a split in Deadpool’s costume, he never expected Ryan Reynolds to comment on it. But that’s how life is – filled with unexpected moments!

Reynolds saw this post and wrote an amazing reply below. He was impressed and wrote that it made his year. “Can’t even describe what this post means to me. Also, I can do the splits… but only once a year. And it has to be in the lobby of a hospital,” Ryan further added.

“As a guy who usually keeps things in, this really did it for me. My idol Ryan Reynolds saw who I am, he knows I exist. He saw how much work I put into that moment. And now? Well, I can die in peace,” Jadiant shared in an interview.

Jadiant was over the moon when he saw the comment and could not believe that his favorite star saw his post and even left such a wonderful comment for him. “I thought I was dreaming.”

It would make my dream come true if @vancityreynolds got to see this post! I learned to do the splits just for this photo. Deadpool has honestly made me way more confident. Anyone who has read or watched anything about Deadpool, knows his face and body are pretty messed up. So it’s only natural that I cosplay him. I wanted to be authentic as possible, and that was to not wear a mask. It’s so easy to cover up who I am, and to give In to despair. Deadpool just makes me not care about that stuff and show my true self. This is me, and I’m not Ashamed about it. Deadpool is icy clean, and he’s helped my self esteem so much. I’m owning who I am, and cosplaying Deadpool makes it that much easier.

This inspiring 21-year-old has achieved a lot and has done so much for the ones who are suffering from something that they feel they need to hide. Jadiant is an ambassador, champion, and an influencer for the Courageous Faces Foundation.

He feels attached to the cause of this Foundation as they work towards giving a better life to the ones who have a rare medical condition as a result of any injury that caused trauma.

“I work, I drive, I have my own car, I am a model, and a speaker. I also attend college. My main passion though is the Courageous Faces Foundation. I love this Foundation and really want everyone to know about it! If they could donate just $1 or $5 to it, that’d mean the world to me, the more the merrier,” he shared.

He is truly inspired by Ryan Reynolds and his portrayal of Deadpool. He has learned a lot through him. “I just want people to know how much easier your life becomes when you stop being offended and find the laughter in life. Ryan Reynolds has been a huge factor in that realization for me,” he said.

“It’s not a coping mechanism, it’s who I am, and I love to laugh. I love to make people laugh, and if you get heartburn after reading this, it just means I’ve touched your heart.”

He wants everyone to show some love to themselves as they deserve it. “We never really grow up, we just learn how to parent our inner child. So I’d say try practicing self-compassion, and really being a good friend to yourself like you would a best friend of yours going through a hard time.”

“Truly, denying yourself and helping others can be very rewarding. It’s important to not wallow in our sadness if we can muster enough courage to do so. That’s why it’s important to have friends and a support system.”
